DIY Shed Plans
I have to admit I am a DIY loving kind of person, I have always got some sort of sadistic pleasure from doing all kinds of jobs around the house myself. It was only very recently however that I started using professionally designed plans for my projects.I have to say it has made a world of difference to both the time and cost of the projects I take on. My last project being a garden shed for which I invested in a comprehensive set of garden shed plans. We have accumulated a lot of junk over the years and we are running out of places to put everything so I decided we needed to build a storage shed. Only problem was, I was not sure exactly where to begin.I went online and learned firstly how important it was to have a solid foundation, I also found a set of plans that seemed to fit for the shed we wanted. What I liked most about these plans was they came with a full material list down to the last screw. They also included timber cut sizes so I could make sure I bought the correct amount of wood and have it all cut to the right sizes and then that would just leave me the task of fitting it all together. Not all plans come like this so make sure you get the kind that do… most free plans are just drawings and you kind of have to guess on the material list yourself which could prove costly.Investing in the design aspects of your shed will actually save you money when it comes time to build it, both in material cost and your actual labour time. Being a DIYer does not mean you have to go it alone.Creating your own shed plans is both time consuming and difficult and you may not do it the right way, so just spend a small amount of cash and get a set of professionally designed blueprints and your project will go as smooth as silk.
